Owen

My photo sessions seem to come in groups.  I did three two weeks ago.  Boy, it sure is fun!  I had a great time with our favorite friends- Missy and Owen.  We play a lot but have never done an actual photo session.  These photos are in honor of Owen's 3rd birthday in January.  Better late than never- right, Missy?  ;)

If it's possible, Missy was even more excited than I was.  She loved the photos we got.  Can't wait to do it again!!!

Mud, anyone?

Logan started t-ball last week.  Jason and I took him out to the park a couple times to practice.  One of these days, Ryan got bored when it wasn't his turn.  He wandered around and found a mud puddle.  A small lake, seems more accurate.  Before we could stop him, he jumped in.  At that point, it was too late so we just let him play while we practiced.  Of course I didn't have my camera.  We were at the neighborhood park on the next street.  I didn't even bring my phone or purse.  So I did the next best thing:  I sent Jason over with his new iPhone.  He has been paying attention because he tried to catch Ryan in mid air.

He was so happy!  Jason and I just laughed.  He was such a mess.

Should I add that this was the first time he'd worn this brand new WHITE shirt with a cool camo tank on it?  I did end up getting the stains out after about 3 washes.

For the ride home, we stripped him down to his diaper and he sat in the back with me.  He even had grass stuck to his eyelashes.  Crazy kid!

P.S.  More to come from T-ball.  Logan missed the first game last night because he's sick.  Hopefully next week...

All dressed up

My cousin Katie was married on Saturday evening.  Clayton on the Park was an awesome venue.  She looked absolutely beautiful!  Jason and I were all dressed up for the occasion.  Maddy (our niece and best babysitter ever) took the photo for us.

P.S.  I am editing a handful of photo sessions so stay tuned...

Beautiful Princess Belle

Last night was our Celiac Support Group meeting.  Usually we leave the kids at home with Grandma but this time, they were invited.  Princess Belle was invited, too, and spent some time with kids giving hugs and posing for pictures.  Jason took this photo with his new IPhone.

Angela Saban was also there to share her party ideas and desserts.  Ryan loved her cake pops.  We all enjoyed her cake.

Gluten Free St Patty's Day

Hope you had a great St Patrick's Day!  We sure did.  Our Celiac Support Group held a pancake breakfast at our neighborhood park.  EVERYTHING was gluten free.  They had Applegate Farms sausage, Udi's chocolate muffins and granola, cinnamon rolls from Julia's Bakery,   and pancakes from Danell's Signature Blend.  Okay, now I have to say- I still eat gluten so my taste buds are not completely converted.  I LOVED Julia's cinnnamon rolls.  In my opinion, they were just as good as Cinnabon.  I still like Ikea's cinnamon mix better because of it's unique flavor.  But the bread part was perfect.  If you ever need dessert for a gluten free friend, go to Julia's.  Yum.

Of course, Ryan loved everything.  The pancakes were really good.  I liked them better than our current mix, Pamela's.  They were really fluffy!  It was so nice to finally be able to take Ryan somewhere he could eat what everyone else was eating.

After sampling all the yummy breakfast items, the boys kicked the soccer ball around and played on the playground.  It was a fun morning.

Logan is showing off his new boots.

Ryan has a mohawk, too.  They both wanted their hair spiked.

Jason and I made corned beef with cabbage and potatoes for dinner.  It's a tradition for us.  Then I spent the evening working on my scrapbook with friends.  It was a great day!

Spring Break: Day 3

Well, I had big plans for Thursday.  The boys and I were going to hike Hole in the Rock at Papago Park with my mom and sister.  But by then, Logan was dragging and said he didn't want to have anymore fun.  I was feeling that our activity choice might have been to much for the boys.  Then I talked to Abby.  She was sick.  Forget it.  We spent the day with Grandma Lyn at her house.  It worked out great.

Now if you haven't been to my parents' house, you don't know that it is the perfect grandparents' house.  There is always something fun to do.  They live on an acre lot where they get irrigation.  Abby and I loved walking in the irrigation ditch when we were younger.  A couple weeks ago, we took the boys.  They love it, too.  So we went again yesterday.

Logan and Ryan LOVE sticks.  They find them everywhere they go.  Sword fights often follow, as you can imagine.  The ditch is a great place to find the perfect stick.

Logan found pecans that had fallen off a nearby tree.  I find them in the washing machine a lot.  I really need to start checking his pockets.

Grandma Lyn stepped on this one so we could see the inside of the pecan.

Ryan's checking out the pecan shell.

Jumping fun!

Overall, we had a great day.  It was much more relaxed than the last couple days.  Being at my mom's house still feels like home.  :)
